No CommentsFirst let me say that this site is dedicated to providing information and resources about home based online business. Why did I start this site?
I’m currently retired, having starting with computers in 1964, working on IBM mainframes as a programmer, and then, in 1989 until I retired in 2005 I was a system administrator on a cluster of IBM’s midrange RISC systems. In the late ’80s the PC became a tool for business, but none of these machines compare with the ones of today in both complexity and sheer extraordinariness. The Internet — what a concept!

After I retired, I moved to Tucson, Arizona after spending my entire life in New Jersey.
Tucson — what a place. I love it!Retirement caused a sudden drop in the income I was used to, so I decided to learn how to make extra income through an online business. My skills as a programmer should be handy, no? What I discovered was that I had to learn a lot of foreign skills such as copywriting, marketing, etc. Now the Internet is a wonderful place with unlimited resources to find what I needed to learn, and I picked up a thing or two and feel confident enough to share what I’ve learned.
Who am I kidding? The primary reason for this site is my undying love of computers and how they keep growing, and growing, and growing in complexity behind the scenes so such a thing as the Internet can exist, providing a place for all of us to share all kinds of things, and keep in touch with each other through photo’s, audios, email of course, and now great sites like Facebook, Twitter, and so on. If a few years ago anyone suggested I’d soon be Tweeting, I’d of course deny that I’d ever, ever tweet anyone in my lifetime. Or that my grandkids could teach me anything about computers.
Don’t be shy. I’d appreciate any feedback – good or bad — even a simple howdy.
Thanks for viewing, and good luck to all of us who share the dream of a successful online business.
To our mutual success,
John Falato
